Doctor of Veterinary Medicine & Owner:
DVM Reed Scudder- A graduate of Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Reed has had the honor of working for some of the most prestigious hospitals in the country. He has also worked for the "Vets Without Borders" and offered his services to third world animals in need. Reed returned to his Alma Mater for a certificate in "Veterinary Acupuncture". Reed continues to educate himself with current Western medicine as well as alternative treatments to provide the best care for your animal companion's health. DVM Scudder is always there to provide diagnostic and treatment options that best help clients and their pets!
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine:
Dr. Kashak is a graduate of the University of Missouri. Since 1994, he has been practicing. For the last 26 years Dr. Kashak has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and expertise in this field. He enjoys all facets of small animal medicine. Dr. Kashak considered it a privilege to work with Dr. Scudder and the Village Vet Hospital staff to serve the community. Has found his forever home in Sedona. Dr. Kashak shares his life with his wife Lisa, their eight dogs, 11 cats, and three horses. Please stop by to meet him!
Lead Certified Vet Tech:
Michelle was born in San Diego, California and she has lived in Arizona for 20 years. Michelle attended Yavapai College & graduated from Penn Foster with a degree in "Veterinary Technology". She has been a licensed Veterinary Technician since 2001. Although she works in private practice, she volunteers her time as a technician in helping spay/neuter dogs as well as cats on the Navajo reservation. Michelle has been married to her husband, Adam, for 23 years and they have one daughter named Genevieve. Her furry children are "Beans", a Chihuahua, "Fancy Day", a Poodle and her two cats "Waldo" and "Freaky Kitty". Michelle enjoys hiking challenging trails, mountains, reading and spending time with her family!
Certified Vet Tech:
Saara was born and raised in Cornville, AZ. In 1994 Saara moved to Denver, CO and attended a 2 year Veterinary Technician Program at Bel-Rea Institute for Animal Technology. Saara has been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 1996. Saara lives with her boyfriend in Cornville on the property where she grew up. Her extended family included 20 feral cats,
4 parrots, 1 goat, 6 horses, 4 dogs and her parents who live next door.
Saara's hobbies include horseback riding, camping, quads and enjoying life!
Certified Vet Tech:
Christine was born and raised in Arizona. She knew from a young age she wanted to help animals for a living. She went to Pima Medical Institute in Phoenix, Arizona and received her Veterinary Technician degree in 2012. Christine has 2 dogs of her own, a dachshund named Millie and an Australian shepherd named Meka, two horses – Trigger and Huckleberry, and a pig named Maple. In her spare time, you can find her taking care of her two children, Brody and Owen, off-roading with her husband, Chance, or riding her horses.
Brina was born in the Verde Valley in 1999, raised in Cottonwood, AZ and Highlands Ranch, CO. She graduated high school in May 2017. Brina always had a passion for animals. As a child, she would go to vet clinics with her step mom Suzanne and watch and learn from the doctors and technicians. She is currently attending college and plans on becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician in the next 2 years. Her personal hobbies include makeup, hanging out with her 3 dogs and 2 cats, and binge watch TV shows.
Marley was born and raised in Kauai, Hawaii. She worked at Kauai Humane Society as a vet assistant as well as an animal control officer. After graduating from Kauai High School in 2018, she attended Colorado State University before transferring to Yavapai College here in Sedona. She has always loved working with animals, and hopes to one day pursue a degree in wildlife biology. Marley enjoys long creek days with her dog Oliver, Dungeons and Dragons, and road-tripping as much as she can!
Our Boarding Team
Olivia was born in lake Tahoe, California and lived in seaside Oregon until she moved to Cornville Arizona at age 5. Olivia helped raise goats, chickens, ducks, an African Tortoise, and 4 dogs! She loves painting, backpacking kayaking, doing makeup, and of course playing with her sweet animals.
Sarah was born in 1997 in Washington State and spent the first 19 years of her life growing up in Enumclaw, WA. At 19 she moved to Phoenix, Arizona to attend Grand Canyon University. Sarah has a dog named Penny Sue and two cats, Blu and JoJo. If she's not spending her time relaxing with her animals. Sarah loves the outdoors and enjoys hiking, swimming, and working out.
